The author demonstrated how Christians during the past couple centuries have used Christianity to promote white supremacy. Examples include restricting land ownership from Native Americans and immigration quotas. I was impressed by the explanation of slavery and how colonists treated those of other races during their era. I agree with her that we as Christians need to solve the race issue. It also saddens me that Christians used their theological views to hurt those who looked different than themselves. The first chapters were great. The last sections were where I lost enthusiasm. The author went into a social gospel-esque solution to the issues presented earlier. That turned me off. I would recommend this to historians.
