I know this has good reviews but I would not recommend spending your money on this book when there are other options. I am taking the VTNE in the fall and just started reading through this book. I get to the section about sedatives and on page 11 it has medetomidine (domitor) listed as a benzodiazepine which it definitely is not. Medetomidine is an alpha 2 adrenergic agonist. I don't know if this was due to lack of proof reading but it didn't give me great confidence for rest of the content of the book and if there could be other false information

I'm halfway through reading this and wondering if it was ever proofread. There are many errors that make me wary about using this as a study guide. It is NOT well organized and jumps from one topic to another without reason or flow. It is very repetitive, and not in a helpful way. The way it is written is not very detailed, as if it were written for a first year tech student. It's fine as a light review of information, but I don't feel like it's giving me the detailed information I need for my national exam, nor the correct information.

I have noticed the important ideas are repeated, just in a different wording. Having caught that, I see what I need to pay extra attention to. Though I'm not sure if others notice that, I sure did and am using that find to do extra in depth studying on those topics. I am 20 years out of school, and gone back into my educational field... This book has been a good refresher & review for my exam next month!

I passed the VTNE first try with this book! Granted I didnt use JUST the book for studying. But it definitely helped summarize different subjects and the practice questions really helped me get a taste for what the questions going to be like.The only thing I did notice with this book is that some of the information wasn't correct. So just be careful and trust what you have been taught by your professors.

I purchased the VTNE secrets test preparation book. I would give this book a 5 out of 5. So far I like the book, it is well organized and gives me chunks of information. I also like the fact that it has practice tests built-in with the material. The practice tests have been really helpful, and I look forward to finishing and passing my exam.

It's a good resource. Let me know where I need to study more. Being in I took the lvt exam for my state 9 years ago. The practice tests are nice with the answers in the back and an explanation. Helps to learn from what was incorrect.

I really love this book. It combines everything that I learned in two years in a easy understanding matter. The questions and answers section is awesome. The detailed explanation makes me understand where and why I got a question wrong, especially the math ones. Taking my VTNE in a few weeks and I feel very confident about scoring high because of this book!
