More importantly, it has the Nihil Obstat and Imprimature...i.e., which are the OFFICIAL, Catholic Church, declarations that a book or pamphlet is free from doctrinal, or moral error. In other words, while anyone can write or compose a book purporting to be a spiritual book, this has also been reviewed by Church authority and has been found to actually be free of doctrinal and moral error. I'm a Traditional Catholic. This book is AWESOME. You can usually trust something published by TAN but they also correct a lot of what is wrong that is in the new-age Pieta Prayers Booklets. The 'thee's' and 'thou's' of the original translations are right where they should be, no new-age updating here! The print is large (very welcome for me since I have poor eyesight), and it has a perfect index. It's a bit over 100 pages and honestly I say all of these prayers every day.It has morning prayers, plenty of traditional novenas, a few good litanies and some powerful prayers to St. Joseph. You'll also found The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary here which isn't something you see often and which really needs to be propagated! You have prayers to your Guardian Angel (not just the regular one), your patron Saint, prayer for Daily Neglects, for banishment of vice, for the help of the Holy souls and prayers for the Dead and for Conversion of Sinners among MANY others, including the famous Fatima Prayers. I'm going to get more!!!! I could never have enough copies of this little treasure house of graces! It's hard not to find the lukewarm New Age self-gratifying and Protestantized books but this is NOT one of them! I wish I could give it more stars! My only regret is it only has a few prayers to St. Joseph; but the prayers they have are GOOD ones. Also prayers for purity Motherhood, etc. Blessed Be God, Blessed Be His Holy Name, Blessed be God in His Angel and in His Saints!

I spent a long time away from the Church and my faith but from my early years of attending Catholic schools, many prayers were firmly imprinted in my mind and heart. Returning to some "new and improved" prayers and hymns was a bit jarring, and so I appreciate this opportunity to revisit what I had learned and heard for so long, at least in private prayer. The older language doesn't irk me, it is a comfort. If you can handle thee, thou, thy, and some verbs with st or th appended I think you will find much to appreciate in this volume. While the prayers are not all familiar they are all pertinent to our daily and spiritual lives. Thank you.

Love, love, this prayer book so much! There are so many prayers in this book and they are written in the old traditional way. The book is divided into sections. I've bought this book for friends and they have loved it so much that they have in turn bought the book for others. It's just the best book of Catholic prayers! It is my favorite, my go-to book. I highly recommend!

Very happy that I bought this. I wanted to have the prayers in “thee and thou” language which they are in this book. Nice leather cover that probably won’t show dirt or wear. The pages are a nice weight paper, not flimsy or thin. Appropriately divided into sections which make it easier to find different types of prayers. When I am waiting for the Mass to start, I like to read my favorites. The size easily fits in my purse. There were other books I reviewed but very glad I purchased this one, the reviews were very helpful.

Very nice and interesting compilation of prayers. My only problem, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is the number of typos bother me. The typos range from mostly run on words to a few where the wrong words were used in making corrections, e.g. purpose for propose..

Preserves the archaic "thee's" and "thou's" which I find great. Some of the wording of certain prayers might not be what some of us Catholics use. For example, in the Act of Faith, "Holy Ghost" is used as opposed to "Holy Spirit." In the Prayer to St. Michael, "defend us in THE battle" (emphasis added) is used instead of "defend us in battle," and "be our safeguard" instead of "be our protection." The physical book itself is thin with a good sized font for those who may be hard of seeing.
